A New Home...

In 2012, as the nation struggled with the hangover from the great recession, we bought a fantastic commercial property right on Highway 51 in Hazelhurst.  For the last ten years that log home served as the main office and perhaps more importantly, as a vacation getaway for friends, family members, and clients.  The office downstairs was perfect for work.  The upstairs was remodeled into a loft apartment.  I have lost track of everyone who stayed there.

People loved it.  One problem, the office portion was never used.  When we reviewed billing records, it turned out we averaged less than five working days per year in the office.  My office is my Ram 2500 and a laptop.

So much for winter days working while the roaring fireplace keeps us warm.

We had no intention of selling the building but our neighbors, the Ryden Family, needed to expand their business and were landlocked.  They are the kindest and most decent people you could ever meet.  We quickly reached an agreement and that gorgeous place is theirs.  They will do a nice job with it.

A win for everybody.

Key Consulting, Inc. recently leased space in the beautiful 300 Third Street Lifestyle Center in Wausau.  It is right downtown and for the sake of meetings a bit easier to get to than Minocqua.  Plenty of space and I have been assured that Murphy and Mizzou are welcome to join me at work.
